Version 5.0 (2000)

Version 5.0 of the CD-ROM Baseball Game was the first to support Internet Play.
Strat-O-Matic joined with Stats, Inc. to make our game available via the Internet. The
beta has been available for several months.  The exact launch date of the Internet service
has not been determined.

There were many great features added to the game in Version 5.0.

Version 4.0 (1999)

Version 4.0 introduced "Super Hal," a term coined by Dick Hunt of Ovid,Michigan, that
allowed more input into the areas of bullpen management. You could anticipate potential
game situations and set priorities for when relief pitchers should come into the game.

Other important features of 4.0 included:

Version 2.0  (1997)

Version 2.0 of the cd-rom baseball game took full advantage of 32-bit processing provided
by Windows '95 and the Power Mac.  (Both a 16-bit and a 32-bit version of the game were
included on the CD-ROM.)  The 32-bit processing improved the game's speed.  The Windows
'95 version also offered a nice "chiseled steel" look.

Version 2.0 contained a plethora of new features and options.  Many of the advances in
this version were the result of customer requests.

Version 1.0  (1996)

The first cd-rom version of Strat-O-Matic baseball was a big hit with all customers.  A
huge step above the previous DOS game, Interesting enough, the player encyclopedia
was removed with the dawn of the cd-rom baseball game (SOM added an
encyclopedia to Version 3.0).
