Cooperstown Baseball League

The Cooperstown Baseball League (CBL) is now in its 22nd season.

We have an active off-season. We are a thirty-team summer league that plays from April to October. Owner time commitment averages 4 hours per month all year long. The time commitment during the season is about the same as other leagues. We put our GM hats on during the off-season. Our league is especially appealing to people who love minor leagues.

The league is split with an AL and an NL. Some of the features our league offers: Arbitration, Rule 5 Draft, Free Agency (bidding on players), Amateur Draft (starting March 1st), salary cap, and complete minor league systems (150 players).

We have our own website!

We use the latest computer version. Net Play is optional. If you're bored of the usual 18-24 team leagues and want something totally different with the goal towards realism, check out our league. It is more complex than the average league. We also appreciate strong communication via email.

Here is some of our owners’ say about the league and website:

"It is the most fun Strat challenge ever."
"Another solid, competitive league to conquer.”
“These rules are wild.”
“Coop is one of the best in realism of a marketplace.”
“The Mac-Daddy of all leagues.”
“Love the interface. Very user friendly.”
•“A truly fun experience.”
